A TEENAGER HAS died this evening after being shot in the head in Dublin.
The young male, 19, was shot at around 2.50pm at Myra Close in Inchicore in the city.
A Garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that the young man was brought to St James’s Hospital, where he died at around 7pm this evening.
The spokesperson added that a firearm had been recovered from the scene, and was thought to have been the one used in the incident.
The scene remains sealed off, and a Garda forensics is present. Myra Close is a cul-de-sac just off Emmet Road in the south inner city.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the shooting to contact Kilmainham Garda Station at (01) 666 9700, or the Garda Confidential line at 1800 666 111.
