Three armed and masked men threaten staff for cigarettes and cash

The armed robbery happened at around 8:20 pm at a shop in north Belfast.

STAFF WERE THREATENED by three armed and masked men at a shop in north Belfast last night.

The men, armed with firearms, made off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

It happened shortly before 8.20pm at a shop on the Ballysillan Road close to the junction of Wallasey Avenue. No-one was injured in the incident.

Two of the men are described as being aged in their late 20’s and were wearing hooded tops.

Detective Sergeant Kenneth Leckey is appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to contact CID at Tennent Street Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
