Tyrone teenager charged with murder of 60-year-old man

Aloysius Hackett died after sustaining a gunshot wound on Friday.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD HAS is to be charged with murder following the death of a 60-year-old Tyrone man.

Named locally as Aloysius Hackett, the victim was found in his home at Aghindarragh Road in Auger on Friday, 4 January.

The suspect is expected to appear before Omagh Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A second teenager, aged 17, was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident but was released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

It is understood that Aloysius Hackett died after sustaining a gunshot wound.
