A 19-YEAR-OLD woman was killed and two other occupants of a car were injured in a road traffic collision in Galway city early this morning.
The single vehicle collision happened on the Seamus Quirke Road in Galway at around 3.30am.
The three occupants of the car were taken to Galway University Hospital where the 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead.
The two other occupants of the car were a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman. Both are being treated for their injuries at Galway University Hospital.
The road remains closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and diversions are in place.
