DETECTIVES IN NORTHERN Ireland investigating the murder of Caroline Graham over 23 years ago have widened the scope of their search operation which began in Portadown earlier this week.
The Serious Crime Branch team has moved the search into part of a house in Carleton Street, close to the waste ground which is also being cleared, probed and scanned for indications of human remains.
Caroline was 19 years old when she went missing in April 1989. Although originally from Newry, she had been living with her boyfriend in Hanover Street in Portadown for about two years.
Nobody has ever been charged in connection with her disappearance and the case was reopened in August when the PSNI said it had received new information, including a possible location of her remains.
Police say their enquiries are continuing. Anyone with any information about the teenager’s murder is asked to contact the PSNI on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
