THE PACIFIC island nation of Vanuatu has been hit by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake within the last few hours, according to the US Geological Survey. No official tsunami warning has been issued, but seismologists says the capital, Port Vila, was hit by a 23cm (9″) tsunami afterwards.
