Poll: Do you support the US air strikes against the Syrian government?

Last night’s strikes represented an escalation of the conflict.

LAST NIGHT, US President Donald Trump approved an air strikes against one of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s air bases.

The strike initiated a major shift in US foreign policy and was in response to a chemical weapons attack that is being blamed on the Syrian government, although Assad denies it.

The Syrian Civil War has been raging for six years and military intervention by the west has until now focused on targeting the so-called Islamic State.

It’s unclear whether last night’s US strike against Assad is a once-off or whether it is the beginning of a more sustained involvement.

While some argue that Assad’s government deserves to be punished and ousted, others say strikes carry a range of risks like inflaming tensions in the region and angering Russia, which supports Assad.

But what do you think? Do you support the US air strikes against the Syrian government?
