Human bones found at recycling centre are 'medical specimens for purpose of teaching'
Gardaí launched an investigation following the discovery of the bones at the Co Wicklow facility yesterday.

GARDAÍ HAVE CONFIRMED that a skull and bones discovered at a recycling facility in Co Wicklow yesterday are medical specimens used for teaching.
Gardaí in Bray were called to the recycling plant yesterday, where the skull and bones were discovered.
An investigation was then launched.
It is understood the skull and bones are believed to be human.
Following an examination, gardaí have said they are now satisfied that the bones are “medical specimens for the purpose of teaching/learning”.
The bones have been returned to “their rightful owner”.
