US PRESIDENT JOE Biden has insisted that his “memory is fine” at the age of 81, despite a critical special counsel report which described his recall as “hazy”, and “fuzzy”.
The report was written by Republican Robert Hur, and it gives an assessment of Biden’s handling of sensitive government material. It suggested Biden had forgotten when his son died of cancer.
Biden responded last night by saying that he had been offended by the question. He slammed the report as “extraneous commentary”.
Biden’s gaffes have led to intense scrutiny from the US press, but his opponent Donald Trump is no spring chicken at 77, and some have said it is ageist to suggest someone can be “too old” to serve as US President.
So, we want to know, do you think Biden is too old for the top job?
We haven’t had a new case in Donegal, Sligo or Leitrim in nearly two weeks. No corona virus patients in Letterkenny Hospital.
Most of Ireland is in this space with the exception of Dublin & sorrounding area.
Is it beyond the wit of the experts to allow us open up to a limited degree while restricting travel to & from affected areas?

I think you mean China. The Italians were the first and one of the worst hit in Europe due to the high numbers of Chinese working in various industries in the north of the country.

Completely agree. I live in Dublin but don’t see why other areas of the country have to remain shutdown if they’ve been case free for so long

There’s obviously a media campaign to discredit the Swedish method of dealing with the pandemic. 4.5k for 10 mil v Ireland 1.7k for 5 mil . In comparison to Italy, Spain, uk etc it’s doing well . With no collateral damage in terms of , economy, urgent medical treatment postponed, mental stress etc .

@Michael Curran: Swedens approach has been too reckless. Lockdown was necessary. The length and continue restrictions of the lockdown is what’s a farce. Extending to 20km on Monday is a joke. France LIFTED their 100km restrictions.

@Will: yes the economy is a component of society I did say most, theres a difference between someone who thinks their life if ‘ruined’ and someone who has had to deal with illness and death.
@Alan Watts: Many people’s health was destroyed by the crash in 08, my father’s included. It ruined the last 10 years of his life with chronic health disorders. He wasnt a greedy man but many families (our own included) depended on his business. We were only really recovering recently. The virus is only a part of the problem now.

@Gwen Murphy: I have no idea about the backlog as such but with all the private ressorces we have leased that are currently empty… I coud imagine that a business man might be able to structure the organisation smoother and use those capacities for something.
