A WOMAN IN her 40s is in a “critical” condition in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Co Sligo last night.
The collision happened at Kileenduff, Easkey, Co Sligo, at around 10.15pm.
Both drivers, a man and a woman in their 40s, were taken to Sligo University Hospital.
A garda spokesperson described the woman’s condition as “critical”, while the male is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling on the R297 at Kileenduff, Easkey, between 9.45pm and 10.30pm are asked to make this footage available.
