Man (21) arrested after the body of woman was discovered in Bray overnight

Gardaí discovered the dead woman after an incident at a house at around 1.30am today.

A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman’s body in a house in Wicklow overnight.

The man was arrested this morning at about 11 am and is currently being held at Bray garda station where he can be kept for up to 24 hours.

The body of the 50-year-old woman was discovered at around 1.30am by gardaí who had been alerted to an incident at the house on Southern Cross Road in Bray.

Gardaí have not yet released details of the incident.

The body of the woman is still at the scene and the house has been sealed off ahead of a full forensic examination.

The State Pathologist has been notified and is expected at the scene later today.
