Detector dog Meg helps find €480,000 worth of cannabis

Revenue officers seized 24kg of the drug “as a result of routine profiling” at Dublin Port.

Officers seized the drugs “as a result of routine profiling”. They have an estimated street value of €480,000.

The cannabis was discovered with the assistance of detector dog Meg in a consignment that was said to contain “goods” when it arrived at Dublin Port from Spain.

Investigations are ongoing.
