Two Gardaí hospitalised after motorway crash

Two Gardaí were brought to hospital after the collision, an investigation is ongoing.

A CAR THAT crashed with a Garda patrol car in Louth last night is still at large.

Two male Gardaí were brought to hospital following the crash.

There were no serious injuries, one has been released while the other is still in hospital for observations.

It happened on the M1 Northbound at Whiterath near Castlebellingham at around 9pm.

Gardaí say an investigation is ongoing.

The road was closed for a time after but has now reopened.
