Appeal after masked men hijack car

Police in Lisburn are appealing for information after a car was hijacked by two masked males in Belfast last night.

A CAR WAS hijacked by two masked males in Belfast last night.

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information after they received a report of the aggravated vehicle hijacking incident, which took place at the Stewartstown Road area.

Shortly before 11.55pm, it was reported that two masked males approached a car outside business premises in the area.

Police said that one of the masked men threatened the driver with a knife.

It is believed the vehicle made off towards the Lisburn area; the car was later found close to the Twinbrook area.

PSNI enquiries are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
