Murdered vet Catherine Gowing to be buried tomorrow

The 37-year-old Offaly native went missing in Wales last October. A man has since been charged with her murder.

THE REMAINS OF murdered vet Catherine Gowing are being brought back to Ireland from Wales today, ahead of her burial tomorrow.

The 37-year-old Offaly native, who was based in Wales, was last seen alive on 12 October.

Following a large scale search operation, North Wales police found her remains nearly a month later.

By that point, 46-year-old Clive Sharpe had been charged with her murder.

Removal is to Kinnitty Church later today, arriving at 9pm, with her funeral at midday tomorrow.
