Dreaming of a white Christmas? It probably won't be happening...

Met Éireann’s early forecast looks like we may actually be set for a mild Christmas.

AFTER THE COLD, snowy weather earlier this month, it looks like we’re set for a milder Christmas.

Met Éireann forecasts a mild and mostly dry Christmas Eve, followed by a cooler and potentially wetter Christmas Day, with temperatures set to hover around double figures all week.

There are no weather warnings in place today after yesterday’s status orange fog warning, and it will be mostly cloudy today with patches of mist, drizzle and fog.

There’s even the chance for some good sunny spells, with highest temperatures of 13 degrees.

The rest of the week will follow a similar pattern, with only patchy spells of rain throughout the country.
