Two arrested in seizures of €90,000 of cocaine and cannabis

A man and woman, both in their 20s, were arrested and are being held in Dublin.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN have arrested a man and a woman following two seizures of drugs worth a total of €90,000.

A man in his 20s was arrested on Lower Gardiner Street at 4pm and taken to Store Street Garda Station. Cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 was discovered in his personal belongings.

As part of a follow-up search in an apartment in Christchurch, gardaí found a large amount of cannabis herb, worth €20,000. A woman, also in her 20s was arrested at the scene.

Both the man and woman are detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
