Connemara death not suspicious, say Gardaí

A body of a man in his 50s was discovered in a ditch in Galway yesterday but Gardaí are not treating his death as suspicious.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING THE body of a man found in Galway yesterday have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

The body was found by a member of the public in a ditch at Rossaveal in Connemara at about 8am yesterday.

The man has been named locally as 50-year-old Tommy King, according to RTÉ.

The State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau carried out examinations throughout the day.
