A CONSERVATIVE MP has been arrested in London and subsequently released on bail after allegations of sexual assault.

The BBC reports that 46-year-old Andrew Bridgen was detained at an address in the Sw1 area of the city in the early hours of this morning, after a 29-year-old woman claimed that he had sexually assaulted her.
