GARDAÍ FROM THE National Drugs Unit discovered €1.5 million worth of cannabis herb at a Dublin business park today.
Early this morning, two vehicles were stopped and searched at Northwest Business Park in Dublin 15. The drugs were seized and have been sent for further analysis.
Two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 40s, were arrested in connection with the haul.
Gardaí said the operation was planned as part of ongoing efforts targeting the activities of a Tallaght-based organised crime gang.
The men are currently being held at Finglas and Clondalkin stations.
Gardaí believe these anti-drug trafficking operations “disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks”, which limits their livelihoods and reduces their ability to carry out illegal activities.
In a separate incident, four men in their 20s were arrested in connection with the seizure of cocaine and cannabis worth €20,000.
They are being held in Enniscorthy, Bray, Athy and Carlow stations for questioning.
The drugs were discovered during seaches at six locations in the Wicklow and Kildare area.
