Gardaí are now looking for the man who was driving the car, as he fled the scene on foot.

THERE ARE TRAFFIC disruptions in the capital this morning after a man in a suspected stolen car crashed into a Dublin Bus on College Street.

It is understood that the man was driving the car the wrong way up the street when it struck the bus at around 8.30am. A garda who was on traffic duty at the time sustained minor injuries in the incident. No other injuries have been reported.

The assailant fled the scene on foot, leaving the damaged car behind, and gardaí said this afternoon they are still looking for him.

AA Roadwatch said this morning that traffic was heavy due to the incident but it has now been cleared.
