Two hundred jobs to be announced for Cork
The new jobs are being provided by an IT company which already employs 3,000 people in Ireland.
TWO HUNDRED JOBS are to be created in Cork by the global IT company EMC.
The company, which offers data storage, information security, virtualisation, and cloud computing, is to open new offices in the city with the support of IDA Ireland and the government.
EMC exports to more than 140 countries around the world and has broadened what was an initial manufacturing facility in Ovens, just outside Cork city, to include research and development.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton are expected at the announcement of the 200 jobs later today. EMC already employs 3,000 people in Ireland.
