The audacity of nope

We spotted this quite bizarre Enda Kenny poster in Castlebar last night

Grotesque, Unbelievable, Bizarre and Unprecedented.

YOU’LL ALL BE familiar with the famous Barack Obama ‘Hope’ poster that was the iconic image of his historic 2008 US presidential election campaign.

The same poster, or at least at version of it, appears in Cox’s Bar and Restaurant in Enda Kenny’s hometown of Castlebar.

Nothing extraordinary there.

But on the wall beside it is another poster that appears to have been created by some very enthusiastic Kenny supporters:

As you’d expect there’s strong support for the Taoiseach in his constituency where he topped the poll four years ago. But this is taking it to a new level.

(And yes, that is our pint too. We only had the one. Honest.)
