Thousands left in the dark after power cut in west Dublin

ESB said it is working to repair the fault that caused the outage.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE have been affected by an electricity cut in west Dublin this evening.

Some 5,320 ESB customers have been in the dark since the outage began at 8.24pm.

The cut has affected homes and businesses in parts of Lucan and Clondalkin.

ESB said it is working to repair a fault and that power is expected to be restored to most areas by 9.30pm.
