PARTING SHOT

CNN managed to track down the Reddit user who initially claimed credit for the now-infamous tweet showing US President Donald Trump tackling the news agency to the ground.

Reddit user ”HanA**holeSolo” has now apologised to CNN for creating the video. ”The meme was created purely as satire, it was not meant to be a call to violence against CNN or any other news affiliation,” he wrote.

However, the hashtag #CNNBlackmail began to trend throughout the day in the US in reaction to the apology, with Donald Trump Jr leading the charge against CNN.
