Two seriously hurt after afternoon crash in Galway

Four people were injured.

GARDAÍ IN GALWAY are appealing for witnesses to a crash that left four people in hospital.

Two women were seriously hurt in the crash, which occurred near Corrandulla on the N84 Galway to Headford road at around 1.45pm yesterday.

One woman, the driver and sole occupant of one of the cars, and a backseat passenger of a second car were seriously hurt. The other two occupants of the second car have injuries described as being non-life threatening.

All were taken to University Hospital Galway.

The stretch of road was closed for a time but has since reopened.

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to contact Galway Garda Station at Mill Street on 091 538000, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
