One man killed in Galway road crash

Two pensioners, a 21-year-old man and a 2-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in the crash.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a fatal road crash that happened last night in Galway.

A 21-year-old man died after the car he was driving in collided with another car at around 8.30pm in Dunmore, Galway.

Another 21-year-old man who was travelling in the same car suffered minor injuries.

There were three people travelling in the other car. A 74-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl suffered minor injuries.

The road is currently closed while garda forensic collision investigators examine the scene.

Local diversions are in place.
