Gardaí appeal for witnesses after daylight sexual assault

A female jogger was grabbed as she ran through rthe River Valley park in Swords in north Dublin at around 12.30pm on Monday.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses following a daylight sexual assault on a female jogger in a park in north Dublin on Monday afternoon.

The Irish Daily Star reports that the female jogger was grabbed as she ran through the River Valley park in Swords in north Dublin at around 12.30pm on Monday.

The woman was subjected to what the paper describes as “sickening sexual assault” but managed to escape and scream as the attacker was attempting to rape her.

The attacker got away but is described as being in his early 20s, wearing a dark blue top, white shorts and white runners.
