Gardaí investigating shooting incident in Tallaght

Nobody was injured as shots were fired at an unoccupied car.

GARDAÍ AT TALLAGHT are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Bawnlea Drive last night.

At about 8pm, a number of shots were fired at an unoccupied, parked car on the street. Nobody was injured during the incident.

The scene is currently being preserved for forensic examinations.

Gardaí are not linking the shooting to the recent killing of 16-year-old Melanie McNamara-McCarthy. Two men are still being questioned by gardaí in connection with her murder.
