A MAN IS still being questioned in relation to the 2011 disappearance of Gerard Daly.
The man was arrested yesterday and is being held in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
A spokesperson from the Garda Press Office told TheJournal.ie that it remained a missing person investigation.
Gerard Daly, 43, was last seen by his partner at his home in Bailieborough, Co Cavan, on the evening of 26 June 2011.
In January 2012 his family launched an appeal for information about his disappearance. At the time his sister Belinda said that the family feared the worst.
“He just seems to have vanished into thin air, which does not happen,” she said.
