Marketing software company to create 150 jobs in Dublin

HubSpot will open its European headquarters in the capital in response to a 200 per cent growth in international business.

A SOFTWARE COMPANY is to establish its European headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 150 jobs.

HubSpot, which provides all-in-one marketing software, will open in January to support the company’s growing international business, which has trebled in the last year.

The Boston-based company already serves nearly 8,000 customers in over 50 countries, and predicts that international operations could make up a fifth of its overall revenue by 2015.

HubSpot chief operating officer JD Sherman said the opening of a Dublin office would help the company to scale up its operations and provide marketeers with tailored software that was appropriate to their needs.

Commenting on the news, Jobs minister Richard Bruton said it was a “very welcome” development that “this transformational US marketing software company is locating its first branch office here in Ireland”.

“Marketing software is an important high-growth sector, and HubSpot’s announcement today is a recognition that Ireland is now an increasingly attractive location for the most compelling Internet business to open facilities and create jobs,” Bruton said.

Barry O’Leary of IDA Ireland, which is supporting the investment, said the move “further enhances Ireland’s reputation as the Internet capital of Europe”.

HubSpot was last year named as the eighth fastest-growing technology company in the world by Deloitte last year, and has been included in a Forbes list of the 20 most promising countries in the US.
