A MAN HAS been charged under the Immigration Act following the inspection of a ship in Cork yesterday morning.
Gardaí, along with officials from the Department of Transport, carried out a search of the fishing vessel at Union Hall.
An Egyptian national, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene.
He was later charged, and appeared before a sitting of Macroom District Court where he was remanded in custody.
