Appeal for witnesses after infant fatally injured in two-car collision

The incident occurred at around 3.30pm in Finglas.

AN INFANT BOY was seriously injured in a two-car collision on Saturday afternoon in Dublin.

The incident occurred at around 3.30pm at the junction of Hampton Wood Green and Hampton Wood Avenue in Finglas, Dublin 11.

The junction was temporarily closed to allow for a forensic examination to be carried out.

The three-month-old boy was rushed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital but died two days later of his injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Finglas Garda Station on 01 6667500, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111, or any Garda Station.
