Suspicious death

Investigation launched into suspicious death in Dublin city

An injured man found on Camden Street early this morning was later pronounced dead at hospital.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating the circumstances surrounding a suspicious death in the city centre this morning.

A man aged between 30 and 40 was discovered injured on Camden Street at around 4.30am this morning.

He received medical attention at the scene and was taken to St James’ Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified.

The scene is being preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Camden Street area between 3.45am and 4.30am, particularly if they were around the pedestrian lights on Camden Street, to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
