Large fire reported in Santry

A large amount of tyres are on fire at the back of Shanard Avenue in Santry, Dublin.

A LARGE AMOUNT of tyres are on fire in Santry, Dublin, creating huge amounts of black smoke in the area.

The Dublin Fire Brigade told TheJournal.ie that the tyres are on fire at the back of Shanard Avenue in Santry.

Four fire engines have been sent to the scene.

There are no reports of injuries.

Twitter user Michael Russell tweeted a picture of the thick black smoke emanating from the fire (right).
