PANCAKE TUESDAY HAS been and gone, so what comes next? None other than Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.
In the annual Christian tradition, people test themselves by making a Lenten vow and giving something up for the 40 days between now and Easter – be it cigarettes, sweet treats or something along those lines.
Others, religious or not, also use it as a time to take up something new in the pursuit of positive change.
At the end of it all will be Easter celebrations and some chocolate eggs to look forward to.
So, we’re wondering: Are you giving up (or taking up) anything for Lent?
