Mail bomb attacks continue in Greece
A string of mail bombs have been delivered to five foreign embassies and to the parliament in Athens.
SEVERAL MAIL BOMBS have been delivered across Athens today, addressed to the Greek parliament and a number of embassies, The Press Association reports.
Nobody has been seriously injured.
Two mail bombs went off at the Swiss and Russian embassies and several others suspicious packages were detonated outside Parliament, the Bulgarian embassy and a courier company.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, however Greek police have blamed far-left domestic extremists.
On Monday, a mail bomb addressed to French President Nicolas Sarkozy was intercepted by police. Similar packages were sent to the embassies of Mexico, the Netherlands and Belgium, but were also intercepted.
Four people were arrested in connection with Monday’s attacks.
