Man allegedly poured petrol on woman during incident
A man was due to appear in court this morning in Letterkenny in connection with the assault.
A MAN allegedly poured petrol on a woman during an incident in Co Donegal yesterday morning.
Gardaí were called to the scene of an alleged assault at Áras Uí Dhomhnaill at 7.30am on Sunday 8 July.
A male aged 30 was arrested at the scene and then detained at Milford garda station.
A garda spokesperson said that during the assault, a female was injured and was later brought to Letterkenny Hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not serious.
It is alleged that the woman had petrol poured over her during the assault.
The male who was arrested was due before Letterkenny District Court at 10.30am this morning.
