Man and woman die in crash in Co Antrim

The driver of the second car was transferred to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

A MAN AND woman have been killed in a two-vehicle collision at Glenavy, near Lisburn, in Co Antrim.

The pair were in a Cupra car which collided with a Skoda car on Lurgan Road at around 6:25pm yesterday, a police spokesperson said.

Police and emergency services attended the scene, where the man and woman were pronounced dead.

The driver of the Skoda, a man, was transferred to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

The Lurgan Road remains closed with diversions in place.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1121.
