A MAN IS to appear before court later today, charged over the murders of a mother and daughter in Co Kerry.
Gardaí said that the man, who is in his mid 20s, is due to appear before a special sitting of Killarney District Court this evening at 8.30pm.
He will be charged in relation to the murder of 27-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and her 8-year-old daughter Enrika at Killorglin, Co Kerry, on 16 June this year.
The bodies of Jolanta and Enrika, who are originally from Lithuania, were found at their family home in Langford Downs in Killorglin. A post-mortem found they died from knife wounds.
A major murder investigation has so far seen the arrest and release of two individuals.
