Man (60s) in critical condition after being discovered with serious injuries in Co Longford

Gardaí are ‘investigating all of the circumstances’ surrounding the discovery of the man with serious injuries in Drumlish, Co Longford.

A MAN IN his 60s is in a “critical” condition in hospital after being discovered with serious injuries in Co Longford over the weekend.

Gardaí say they are “investigating all of the circumstances” surrounding the discovery of a man in Drumlish, Co Longford on Saturday, 8 November.

At around 7:30pm on that date, the man in his 60s was taken by ambulance to Mullingar General Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.

A technical examination was carried out at the scene.

The last known movements of the man were at Currabawn at around 7pm on 5 November.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the Currabawn/Mohill road, Drumlish area between 7pm on Wednesday, 5 November and 6:30pm on Saturday, 8 November are asked to make this footage available.
