TWO MOTORCYCLISTS HAVE died in separate single-vehicle collisions in Dublin and Co Offaly. 

The first incident happened on the R357 at around 6.45pm yesterday. 

A motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

His body was later taken to Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. 

The road remains closed this morning while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place. 

The second incident happened shortly after 7pm yesterday at the Junction 1 Southbound of the M1/M50 slip road in Dublin.

Another motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was later taken to Beaumont Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place in due course.

The road has since re-opened following a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed these collisions to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the areas at the time, are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
