Man (50s) dies after single-vehicle crash in Co Roscommon

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene shortly before 7am.

A MAN IN his 50s has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Roscommon. 

The crash happened on a local road at Culleenaghmore, a townland in Kilglass, around 25km east of Roscommon town. 

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene shortly before 7am. The man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.  They are asking any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and were travelling in the area at the time is asked to make this footage available to them.
