A MAN, WHO WAS reportedly intoxicated, has been rescued from the top of Sydney Opera House by police after he climbed onto the roof.

The man scaled the iconic building yesterday afternoon and it took over an hour for the authorities to coax him down.

However the Sydney Daily Telegraph reported a police officer said it was not a demonstration but rather a case of a drunk man who decided to climb one of the building’s ‘sails’.
