Michael McIntyre's car smashed with a hammer during moped robbery

A spokesperson for the comedian said he was “absolutely fine” and helping with the investigation.

COMEDIAN MICHAEL MCINTYRE was robbed by thieves on mopeds while waiting to pick his children up from school yesterday.

Today, The Sun published photos of McIntyre next to his Range Rover, which was seriously damaged during the incident.

He had been waiting to pick his children up in north London when the attack occurred at around 2pm yesterday. It’s been reported that the father-of-two’s watch was taken during the robbery.

The Met Police said: “Police were called to reports of a robbery. Officers attended.

“The victim was stationary in his car when two males on a moped smashed the car windows with a hammer before stealing property. No injuries were reported. No arrests have been made.”

The Sun quoted his agent as saying: “Michael was involved in an incident involving armed robbers. He is absolutely fine and helping police with their inquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Met Police.
