THE CENTRAL BANK is currently advertising for an assistant to operate the printing machine in its currency production division.
The role involves making sure that the currency printing press is fed with paper – the machine can run at a speed of around 8,000 sheets an hour.
“The sheet-fed printing presses are designed to have someone feeding in at the back of the machine, at all times, while running,” according to the bank.
The role also involves cleaning, making chemical mixes for the printer and using forklifts. Experience in the print industry is preferable, as is being “reliable and consistent in approach to tasks”.
The salary has not been disclosed in the advertisement, though the position is a fixed-term contract. If interested, you need to apply by the 6 May deadline. More details here.
