MORE RAIN IS expected to fall today – with the only silver lining on those rainclouds being that less rain is forecast to fall today.
Irish Weather Online’s Peter O’Donnell says that although rain is expected today, it “should be generally manageable” apart from a small number of places which could experience further flooding issues.
The rain could also hamper flood recovery efforts in some places, according to O’Donnell.
Met Éireann warns of early thundery outburts which could bring heavy rain, but says that conditions are expected to dry up throughout the day.
IWO says up to 25mm could fall in showers across the east and midlands, with about a fifth of that falling in the west, before conditions dry up considerably overnight.
However, both weather organisations forecast further rain to fall tomorrow – though not as much as fell yesterday.
