Motorcyclist killed in Kerry road crash

The crash happened this morning on the N70.

A MOTORCYCLIST HAS died after a crash in Kerry this morning.

The man aged in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on the N70 between Kenmare and Sneem, at Lackeen just before midday. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The man is the 14th motorcyclist to be killed on Irish roads this year. The occupants of the car were uninjured.

The road is currently closed and local traffic diversions are in place. Garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to attend the scene and the local coroner has been notified.
