Updated: Truck no longer on fire on N4 outside Mullingar

Two appliances from Mulligar fire Station had been in attendance.

TWO APPLIANCES FROM Mullingar Fire Station have put out the fire onboard a 40-foot articulated truck located near The Covert Bar & Restaurant in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

The truck was located on the N4 Dublin/Sligo road, approximately 1.5 miles outside of Mullingar town, near Ballinafid.

Gardaí have confirmed that the truck was on the side of the road and was not blocking traffic.

They also confirmed that no-one was injured.

Traffic is now moving normally.
