IRELAND

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a man died in a two-car collision in Tipperary in the early hours of this morning.
The funeral mass of Mary Holt, who was killed in an attack on a house in Edenderry that also took the life of her great-nephew Tadhg Farrell, has heard she was a woman whose life was “quietly shaped by care”.
Fourteen crew members were rescued at Dingle Bay earlier today after their fishing boat ran aground.
Gardaí said they will increase patrols at centres and events for the Irish Jewish community, after at least 16 people, including one attacker, were killed in a terrorist attack in Sydney, Australia, that targeted people celebrating a Jewish holiday.

#BONDI BEACH: Sixteen people have been killed in a shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, in what has been described as a “terrorist attack”.

#BROWN UNIVERSITY: Police in the United States have detained a “person of interest” in relation to a shooting at Brown University that left two people dead and nine others wounded, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley said.

#BELARUS: Belarusian protest leader Maria Kolesnikova said she did not regret anything as she spoke to reporters today after her surprise release brokered by the United States.
